Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Every template, the ATS checker, the cover letter and Word export are free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no paywall at download.

Are the templates ATS-friendly?

Yes. They are single-column and use real text and standard headings (Summary, Experience, Education, Skills), which applicant tracking systems read reliably.

Resume or CV: which should I use?

In the US and Canada, "resume" is usual for most jobs; in the UK, Ireland and much of Europe, "CV" is the standard term. You can switch the document title in the builder.

Where is my resume saved?

Only in your browser on this device, so it's there when you come back. Nothing is uploaded. Use "Save as version" to keep a tailored resume for each job.

Can I download a Word file?

Yes. Many recruiters and agencies ask for .docx, so you can download your resume and cover letter as Word documents as well as PDF.

Should my resume or CV be one page?

For most early and mid-career roles, one or two pages is typical. Put your most relevant experience first and cut anything that does not support the job you are applying for.

Should I add a photo?

It depends on the country and industry. In the UK, USA and Canada photos are usually left out; in some other countries they are common. Follow the employer's instructions.

PDF or Word?

Send a PDF unless the employer asks for Word. A PDF keeps your layout identical on every device.
