Questions

Which barcode type should I use?

Use Code 128 for your own stock codes, SKUs and documents. Use EAN-13 (or UPC-A in the USA and Canada) for products sold in shops.

Can I make my own EAN-13 numbers?

You can draw any valid EAN-13, but numbers used on retail products must be licensed from GS1 in your country so they are unique worldwide.

Will it scan?

DocNova follows the official symbol specifications and calculates check digits automatically. Print with enough size and contrast, and test with your scanner.
