Questions

Will I lose transparency?

Only when converting to JPG, which has no transparency; transparent areas become white. PNG and WebP keep it.

Which format should I use?

JPG for photos, PNG for screenshots, logos and graphics with sharp edges or transparency, and WebP for websites, where it is usually smallest.

Can I convert HEIC photos?

Most browsers cannot open HEIC. On iPhone, set Camera, Formats to Most Compatible, or export the photo as JPG first.
